Well, it's the news that some of you don't want to hear, but we have a Move Date. Our closing date has been moved up to June 8th. After discussing different options, we decided to pack our moving unit on the 9th and start driving to the new house on the 10th. Our 2 moving units won't be delivered for several days, so we would either be in this house with nothing here, or at the south house where we could be working until the furniture arrives. We chose to go on, with our camper. The camper has towels, dishes, pots and pans, utensils, etc., plus we can pull the bed cushions into the house to sleep or sleep in the camper. We'll use the time to finish the cleaning, make decisions on bedroom assignments, stock the fridge and pantry, choose a new stove and possibly a microwave. The previous owner left their washer and dryer, so we can use those until ours arrive. I'll also be using the GPS a LOT!!! I have never driven down there on any of my 3 trips. I'll have to use the GPS just to get out of the neighborhood!
Although we're not looking forward to saying "Good-bye" to friends and family, we are excited about ending this limbo-time and get our family back together after 9 months.
So, tomorrow will be Joe's last day at church in KY, and next Sunday will be the last week for the rest of us. (Except Charlie, since he'll be going to Youth Camp.) If you're there, come and give me a hug and I'll cry on your shoulder!
