Well, we have a contract on our KY house, and the closing is set for next week! As many of you know, closing dates change, but we are going to travel to KY in anticipation of the original closing date. It will be such a blessing and relief to have this finished! God has been gracious in providing for our needs in the process of finding a GA house, moving, and paying 2 mortgages, but we'll be happy to just have one mortgage again!
Most of the boxes are unpacked in the new house. There are a couple boxes of decor items that will stay packed until more rooms are painted.
It is still stifling hot and humid! The newspaper had an article about this being the most hot/humid year in over 10 years! It has been the same temp/humidity every day since we arrived in mid-June. I think the weather man doesn't even have to show up for the newsbroadcast. They can just show the same recording every day!
We are continuing to invite families over for dinners to get to know more people from church. Tonight it is the youth pastor and his family. It's a smaller church than we had in KY, so it shouldn't take long for us to make it through the families until we've met most everyone.
The boys decided to join the youth quiz team. It's different than the quizzing I did with Word of Life in junior high. They are memorizing the book of Philippians. This past Sunday was the first quiz meet covering Chapter 1. They did well. Now they have 3-4 weeks to work on Chapter 2. It's a challenge for them.
I must go bake bread. Making you hungry???
